The SR-71 Blackbird is the coolest of the cool jets! Super fast, stealthy, amazing look, I always knew I wanted to build one out of LEGO® bricks!

So... one day when my wife was out of town and I had a couple of days off I thought to myself "self... it's time to build a LEGO® SR-71 Blackbird..." so I built it. It took a solid 24 hours of building and then another 6+ to input into LDraw (the LEGO® CAD software) and create instructions. The biggest challenge was getting the round engines and intakes to look good.

I took it to work the next week and got lots of comments... either about how cool it was or about how geeky I was. I took them all as compliments.
